Important Vampires

Lestat de Lioncourt

Lestat de Lioncourt

The Brat Prince

Standing at six feet tall (by his own description), with thick, rather curly blonde hair, violet eyes which are usually covered by purple sunglasses.  A bold, enthusiastic, and defiant being, who occasionally delights in his own arrogance and conceited attitude, Lestat carries himself with the aura of richness and entitlement, gaining him the affectionate title “the Brat Prince” from his vampire elders, a title he takes great pleasure in. However, underneath his cheerful façade, he is a tortured soul often preoccupied with existential questions and periods of despair. Lestat often curses his own impulsivity and blames many of his mistakes on his tendency to do things just to see what would happen.

Akasha

Akasha

The Mother

Beautiful bronze colored skin absent of a single blemish, very dark, nearly black lustrous eyes. She has black hair that was often braided in the Egyptian style and long and curly when loose. Akasha became the first vampire nearly 6 millennia ago when her spirit merged with that of Amel, forming what is known as The Core. Once a queen of a massive society, Akasha is a selfish, empty, nihilistic person with no sense of morality or human compassion. Akasha vanished nearly 2,000 years ago and her current  location is unknown.

Mekare & Maharet

Mekare & Maharet

The Brat Prince

Powerful witches who have long red hair. Makare has bright green eyes, and while Maharet used to have the same, before receiving The Dark Gift, her eyes were plucked out by Akasha as a cruel punishment leaving her forever physically blind.  Hereditary witches, they can communicate with spirits. The story of their vampiric transformation is full of dark and gritty details best not discussed for this brief description, needless to say, it is full of violence and ugliness.

The Island of Thresh

Klen

Klen wasn’t like the other orcs in his tribe. From a young age, it was clear he was different. While his peers grew into towering, muscle-bound warriors, Klen remained scrawny and often clumsy. He struggled with even the most basic of orcish tasks, like wrestling boars or intimidating goblins. The other orcs, led by the hulking chieftain Grukk, saw Klen as a blight on their fierce reputation. At just ten years old, Klen was cast out, left to fend for himself in the unforgiving wilderness.

For nearly two decades, Klen survived on sheer stubbornness and a surprising knack for foraging. He learned to identify edible plants, track small game, and even outwit a few unsuspecting bandits (mostly by accident, stumbling into their own traps rather than any he had set for them.). He developed a quiet demeanor, speaking mostly to the squirrels he befriended and the trees he used for shelter. He was never truly lonely, finding companionship in the natural world that had become his home. He rarely saw other sentient creatures, preferring to keep to his hidded waterfall cave, far from shore, and bustling village of his youth.  His only encounters were fleeting glimpses of trappers or the occasional lost traveler, whom he’d carefully avoid, fearful of their judgment or aggression.

Then came the night of the full moon. Klen was gathering berries near a shadowed grove when a terrifying howl echoed through the forest. Before he could react, a monstrous, fur-covered creature lunged from the darkness, sinking its fangs deep into his shoulder. Klen fought with a ferocity he never knew he possessed, but the beast was too strong. He awoke days later, his head pounding. the memory of the attack hazy and dreamlike.

Since then, Klen has experienced strange blackouts. He’d wake up in unfamiliar places, sometimes covered in blood, sometimes with a faint metallic taste in his mouth, but always with a vague sense of unease.

He’s a gentle soul, easily flustered, and quick to offer an animal a piece of dried fruit. He’s often confused by social cues, having had so little practice, but his heart is always in the right place, and he yearns for a true connection, a place where he finally belongs. He just hopes his condition doesn’t scare away the first real friends he’s ever known.
